Bring along any home comforts if you like, maybe a book, headphones, blanket, etc.
Anxious?
The most intimidating part of getting a tattoo can be the anxiety prior.
Remember we are here to help and answer any questions you may have.
No question is too silly — we are here to make you feel comfortable.
Time / cost
Deposit?
Yes you'll need to pay a deposit
Once this is paid, your appointment is secured.
The deposit is non-refundable, but can be transferred to a new date if you need to reschedule with at least 48 hours notice.
What is your budget and time constraint?
We can work to your budget and time scale.
Pricing is dependant on the size and complexity of your tattoo.
We can give you a rough idea, but it’s very hard to be exact.

Coverups
What’s possible?
We do do coverups. These can be more restrictive though in what we can do.
We would recommend a consultation to view the original tattoo and discuss options for a suitable design to cover it.
In most cases it will need to be a little bigger and may also need some colour.
Rework
Reworks are working with the existing tattoo and making it better.
This could be by adding more elements, sharpening up the existing tattoo, essentially breathing new life into an old tattoo.
Blast over
Blast overs, this is when a new tattoo is simply placed over the old one.
This can work well for old sleeves. Doing some bold black work of ornamentals or florals can look amazing with the old tattoo peeping through.
Incomplete tattoos
Will we complete work started by another artist?
Of course, we are more than happy to help.
We cannot guarantee it will look exactly the same as the original, but we will do our very best to make it all blend and flow together.
If the original tattoo was done a long time ago, it can look grey and faded against the new work.
This means we may need to re-go over the whole tattoo to make it look its best.
On the day
When you arrive at your appointment
We will ask you to complete the consent form.
If you’re lucky, you might also get a coffee and biscuits!
We may also ask you for ID.
Check out your design
You will have the opportunity to check the size and placement.
Make any changes necessary.
You will never be made to have anything you’re unhappy with.
We want you all to go away happy with some awesome artwork.
Preparing the stencil
We will then prepare the stencil. This is a transfer, and again this gives another opportunity to try the design in different places.
Again, checking you’re happy with the size, etc.
Does it hurt
Does it hurt?
Yes, to an extent they all hurt. However…
Having said that, it’s more like grazing the skin.
The most common reaction from people getting their first tattoo is “oh, is that it?!”.
Yeah, that’s it! And they settle into the session.
Numbing cream
Please let us know if you’re planning to use numbing cream.
There are a lot of fake ones out there that may cause an adverse reaction.
We can recommend great creams; however, it is still highly recommended to read the instructions and do a patch test before the day.
Where hurts?
The softer bits of skin people rarely see!
Or parts close to the bone!
However, people’s pain tolerance massively varies.
We would still recommend getting a tattoo where you really want it — it’s on you for life!
Skin
How will my skin react during the tattooing process?
Your skin might go red and raise — this is normal.
You may also bleed a little; this can be due to your diet, alcohol, medication, etc.
There are many factors that can affect how your body reacts.
Having a good diet, staying hydrated, and moisturising the place to be tattooed can all help to create the perfect tattoo.
Post tattoo
What happens when my tattoo is complete?
We will thoroughly clean the tattoo.
We may take some photos — please don’t be offended if we don’t.
It may be that we are running late!
Or if we take photos and don’t post them, it’s because we did not take the best photos!
Wrapping up
We will then apply some Vaseline and wrap it up in cling film, or keep it dry and apply some second skin.
We will talk to you about what is best for you.
We will then talk through the aftercare.
Once you leave the studio, the aftercare is ultimately up to the client.
If you have any worries, you can always contact us.
Payment
And the important bit… you can pay by bank transfer or cash!
Inclusive
We are an inclusive studio
Please make yourself at home.
Bring a blanket, book, iPad, headphones, food — anything to make you comfortable.
We also have folding screens we can put up.
And we won’t be offended if you don’t want to talk to us, or if you do — we love a little chit chat!
Consultations
We love consultations!
A consultation can be the best way to convey your idea.
It also gives you a chance to meet us and feel comfortable with your surroundings on the day.
Consultations are free.
