Carbon Peel Facial in Lymington
A no-downtime laser facial to deep-cleanse, refine and brighten the skin
A carbon peel — often called the “Hollywood Peel” — is a quick, no-downtime laser facial that deep-cleanses the skin, lifts away dead cells and excess oil, and leaves your complexion brighter and smoother. It’s carried out at The Blackbird Wing in Lymington, New Forest.
It’s a popular choice before an event for an instant glow, and a course works well for congested or oily skin and enlarged pores.
How a carbon peel works
A thin layer of fine liquid carbon is applied to the skin and left to settle into the pores, where it binds to oil, dead skin and everyday debris.
The laser is then passed over the area. The light targets the carbon, gently exfoliating the surface and drawing out the impurities it has bound to, while the warmth stimulates the skin to renew itself.
What it helps with
Dull, tired or uneven-looking skin that needs a brightness boost.
Enlarged or congested pores and excess oil or shine.
Rough texture and a build-up of dead skin.
A pre-event “glow up” with no recovery time needed.
What to expect
A single treatment takes around 30 minutes and there is no downtime — most people return straight to their day.
You may feel a light warmth and a mild tingling as the laser passes; it is not a painful treatment.
Skin can look brighter and feel smoother straight away. For congestion, oil and pores, a short course spaced a couple of weeks apart gives the best, longer-lasting results — we’ll suggest a plan at your consultation.
We’ll check your skin and medical history first to make sure a carbon peel is right for you before we treat.
Common questions
What is a carbon peel facial?
A carbon peel is a laser facial that uses a layer of liquid carbon and laser light to deep-cleanse the pores, exfoliate the surface of the skin and brighten the complexion, with no downtime.
Does a carbon peel hurt?
No — a carbon peel is comfortable. You’ll feel a gentle warmth and a light tingling or a mild snap as the laser passes, but there’s no need for numbing and nothing to recover from.
Is there any downtime?
There’s no downtime. Skin may look slightly pink for a short while, but most people go straight back to their normal day and can wear makeup the next day.
How many carbon peel sessions will I need?
One treatment gives an instant brightness boost, which is ideal before an event. For oily or congested skin and enlarged pores, a course of a few sessions spaced a couple of weeks apart works best. We’ll recommend a plan at your consultation.
